 Quality at a Reasonable Price June 19, 2010

My spouse and I cook from scratch and enjoy the foods and flavors from around the world - we therefore have lots of spices. So I was looking for an attractive, reasonably priced, large rack (8 or 9 shelves) for our spices. Well, no luck there, but I did find these and bought three of them. They are well built, strong and the second and third shelves fit normal size spice jars (no taller than 4.5 " tall and 2.75" in diameter), while the top shelves fit the taller spice containers. At less than $20.00 each and with a reasonable shipping cost (fast ship too!), I found these racks to be a real value.

This spice rack is attractive, has clean lines and is sturdy. It was easy to mount and all the necessary mounting hardware (incl. drywall anchors, if needed) came included. I'm not sure you can ask for more from a spice rack. It's exactly what I needed and wanted: functionality in a good-looking package.
By the way, I noticed the other reviews for this product gave it low grades due to the dimensions listed online vs. actual (the reviewing customers apparently had very specific spacial constraints) and a customer service issue. While I would agree that should definitely result in a poor review for the advertiser (Amazon or the manufacturer, whoever wrote up the blurb on the product page), I do not think it's logical to translate that to a low Item Rating for the spice rack itself.

I too measured my space and ordered this spice rack. The bottom of the spice rack fits their dimensions but the top has 2 metal pieces that stick off each side that make the rack wider than the specs say. I had to return it because it did not fit!

I recently bought a new house, and have limited counter and wall space in my kitchen. I carefully measured the space I had available for my new spice racks, and was delighted to find that these would fit! I quickly ordered two (one for either side of my sink)and excitedly waited for them to arrive. When they did, however, I realized that they are about 1.5 inches wider than advertised online. therefore, they simply will not fit in the space I have allotted.
Unfortunately, [...] customer service seems to be very poor. I contacted them right away to initiate a return, and had several questions in my message. I received a form letter the next day, but no actual assistance. As of today (4/27/10), it has been 10 days since I contacted them, and they have yet to provide me any help with the situation. I can't actually rate the product, since it wouldn't go on my wall.... but the level of customer service is very disappointing. I will update this review if I hear anything more.

Very pleased, this rack is quality made and an attractive design. Comes with screws and wall anchors so you can mount it anywhere in a couple of minutes. It holds 15 bottles of my Simply Organic spices (see customer images for picture). These bottles are 4 1/2" tall and are the maximum height that will fit in this rack. So, measure your bottles before you buy. It is perfect for what I was looking for and better quality than I expected.
