Product Description Regularly described as the world's most advanced corkscrew! The WineMaster will effortlessly uncork bottles in seconds without any twisting or pulling. Operating is simple. The WineMaster is equipped with a bottle grip that locks the corkscrew on to the bottle to leave both hands free for easy use. Moving handles with a smooth and easy action, the WineMaster both inserts the specially coated spiral and extracts the cork.A detachable foil cutter is included with every WineMaster to ensure a safe and clean removal of the foil. Made in The Netherlands by VacuVin. 10 inches h. 2 year guarantee
Amazon.com Review It's another wonder of modern technology from the folks at Vacu Vin: this corkscrew stands head and shoulders above any similar model. The tiny foil cutter stores in the top of the machine--just pop it out, squeeze gently over the top of the foil, and the foil falls right off. Next, insert the cork into the bottom of the WineMaster, with all four handles in the upright position. The corkscrew inserts itself when you pull the two smaller handles down, and you lift the cork by pulling the two larger handles. The last step: just raise all four handles again to pull out the cork--no yanking or twisting necessary! For the occasional extra-long cork, you may need to perform the steps twice--but this corkscrew's still far easier to use than most others. You'll want to open wine just as an excuse to show off this cool gadget. Tell guests they only get to play if they bring their own bottle! --Jill Lightner

The Wonder Wine Opener! December 2, 2008 B. Williams (San Antonio, TX) "It slices, it dices...!" This corkscrew does it all, effortlessly. No more straining to pull corks, no more broken corks. It has all the tools--cuts the cork covering, easily slides the cork from the bottle, and frees the cork from the screw in one motion. IMPRESSIVE! This corkscrew is a must for the fine wine afficionado.
It works! December 2, 2008 Brad Bunnin (Berkeley, CA USA) After struggling through the years with a variety of cork pullers, we finally found one that works, flawlessly and, effortlessly. The simplicity of the Vacu Vin Winemaster is remarkable.
Drilling rig for wine bottles! September 10, 2008 B. Smith (Iowa, USA) This is without doubt the best wine bottle opener I have ever used! It beats all others for ease of use and the ability to penetrate even the toughest plastic corks! It looks like a drilling rig for wine, and looks cool when you use it, with all the gears and stuff operating! You won't be disappointed with this one. In fact it has worked so well so long, I bought all my wine consuming freinds one!
Tips for use February 10, 2008 Don Louis (Valparaiso, IN USA) I have the clear version and I agree with comments saying it is neat to watch and it is the best wine opener ever IF YOU DO IT RIGHT. Tip #1: Do not pull the locking sleeve too far down so it comes off the main body of the opener. I am modestly strong and find it easy to "over do it" while trying to get the sleeve to have a good grip on the bottle. Tip #2: If you have the problem with the cork not coming all the way out, you probably have a broken gear tooth inside somewhere like I do. Not to worry. While lowering the big handles, when they pass over the small ones, RE-push the small handles down as far as they'll go to drive the screw into the cork a little farther, then continue with the big handles. And viola! Out comes the cork! Tip #3: Register your warranty. Another commenter said you will need to for a warranty repair/replacement from the Netherlands. I contacted them about the broken gears after the 2-year warranty and heard nothing back. Tip #4: I broke off two rubber-tipped bottleneck grippers while messing with it when a cork didn't come all the way out. I was able to glue them back on using Gorilla Glue. I recommend Gorilla Glue as a versatile and strong adhesive product.
Requires engineering degree and the touch of a surgeon December 31, 2007 Neil Martin 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've seen two of these break. The part that encircles the neck is fragile. If someone who hasn't read the instructions tries to use it, they never get the encircling part latched properly. I read the manual and did everything right except I attempted to pull the cork, without removing the foil (admittedly not a good practice) and it broke immediately. It was a friend's and I had to replace it, leaving me with a foil cutter extra. It's a good foil cutter but not worth $50.
