Henckels is known for its cutlery, but the company's approach to flatware shows a similar sensitivity to style and function. Part of the Premiere Series, Mosel flatware has a clean and classic look, suitable for everyday dining and for entertaining. Crafted from 18/10 stainless steel with 18 percent chrome for corrosion-resistance and 10 percent nickel for luster, the pattern features elongated teardrop handles with a subtle indented border and a gleaming mirror finish. Based on European standards, the sizing is generous and the weight is satisfying. As might be expected, the knives are expertly crafted with finely honed, forged blades. A great beginning for a Mosel collection, this 45-piece set includes eight place settings, each with a salad fork, a dinner fork, a knife, a soupspoon, and a teaspoon. The accompanying serving set features a serving spoon, a slotted serving spoon, a serving fork, a sugar spoon, and a butter knife. I sent it back. It looked like just another one of those off brand sets you get at Macy's or Big Lots. If you need a decent cheap set of flatware this would work. I was hoping for henckel's quality and I should have known I couldn't get it for this price.
