When a guest asks for water, this glass serves it with panache. The all-purpose, sparkling crystal water glass from Riedel's Vinum line allows for indulgence everyday, whether for juice at breakfast or iced tea in the afternoon. You'll want to keep enough on hand to set one at every place at dinner, paired with Vinum wine glasses. The short stem provides good stability and takes away breakage worries, and the tall, deep bowl feels beautifully balanced in the hand. A slighter smaller match to the Vinum Gourmet glass, each of the two water glasses in this set measures 5-7/8 inches in height and holds 12-3/8 ounces at full capacity. Made in Bavaria of more than 24 percent lead crystal for superb brilliance and clarity, Vinum wine glasses are nevertheless affordable because they are machine-made rather than mouth-blown. Since its introduction in 1986, the popular Vinum collection has grown to contain nearly two dozen different glasses. We own a number of Riedel wine glasses, hence the purchase of the water glasses.
Simply stated, these H20 glasses are a little too small and delicate for my taste. They feel like they might break much more readily than the larger wine glasses.
