I already had these, but needed a few more in order to make a complete service for 8. I love these plates. They are heavy dishes, go well with my kitchen, and so much better looking than the photos. The square plates are so versatile because they are large enough for main meal, or can used as salad and sandwich plates as well.

We bought our Sango Gold Dust Black dinnerware several months ago. The children have dropped a couple of the 8" round plates. So, we were looking for replacements. We couldn't find them at anything close to a reasonable price. So, we decided to go with the Square Salad Plates since we could get 8 of them for the less than the delivered price of 3 of the round ones. I am not sorry we did. We love the look and the feel of the Sango Gold Dust dishes. They have a contemporary style and the colors go perfectly with our kitchen. The only slight complaint I have is the bowls that came with the dishes are actually a little too large, which is way we just bought the ice cream bowls. Larger bowls encourage larger portion sizes.

The pics on Amazon do not do these plates justice. They are so much more rich looking in person. I bought 4 green and 4 black plates, and they stack well on top of each other. And in case you forget when you get them home, they are stamped with "Dishawasher and Microwave Safe" on the bottoms. I love these plates!

The plates are larger than I expected (good thing) and very elegant in appearance. The sides have a gentle upward curve that helps keep contents onto the plate. Very happy with this product:)

These beautiful square dishes were the inspiration for my purchase of a complete service for 12 plus serving pieces. I love them! They have a very contemporary look, and they are very durable. What is also nice is the fact that they are larger than your average luncheon/salad plate too!
