One of Pfaltzgraff's most popular dinnerware patterns, Naturewood is a delight for gardeners and nature lovers alike with its combination of botanicals and leaves, gardening implements, and beehives strewn across an ivory palette with pale sage green striped borders. Made out of sturdy, unbreakable Melamine, this 12-piece dinnerware set safely serves meals out on the patio or the yard, right among the natural elements that have inspired its design. The set includes four 11-inch dinner plates, four 9-1/2-inch salad plates, and four 5-3/4-inch deep bowls, all of which are conveniently dishwasher safe on the top rack. The mix-and-match pattern features a beehive as the central image on the dinner plates, encircled by a sage-and-white striped rim. Alternately, the center of each salad plate shows a watering can and potted plants surrounded by a border of swirling leaves, trowels, rakes, bees, and butterflies. Bowls are embellished only along their exterior rim with sage-and-white striping and all dinnerware features sage edging printed with a jeweled design. I had received some Pfalzgraff Naturewood melamine dinner plates as a gift and wanted to purchase matching luncheon plates. They were very hard to find, and eventually I decided to purchase this set, even thought I didn't really need the dinner plates. I love the set. Being melamine, they are perfect for deck and outside use, and for the children to use. I was concerned that the instructions state the dishes should be washed in the top rack of the dishwasher only (whose dishwasher can fit dinner plates in the top rack??). I have been washing them on the bottom rack for the past several weeks and so far, I do not see any damage resulting. The dishes came quickly and in perfect condition. I recomend the seller and the set!

I just opened my Pfaltzgraff Naturewood 12 piece set. When I hear the name Pfaltzgraff, I expect quality stoneware merchandise. What I received was a plastic set. I jumped onto the site. It seems, that unless it is marked stoneware, it's plastic!!
