| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Review Weaving bold geometric designs with vibrant colors, Pfaltzgraff Sedona dinnerware brings the spirit of the American Southwest to your table. Like the woven fabrics that inspired it, this 16-piece dinnerware set creates a richly textured and cheerful backdrop for a Southwest-inspired menu or any table needing a bright boost. The four hand-painted place settings are generously sized and coordinate playfully: a 12-inch dinner plate ringed with colorful stripes, a 9-inch salad plate featuring a blue center and contemporary southwest motif, a bright striped 28-ounce soup/cereal bowl, and a colorful 16-ounce mug with a wide blue handle. Made of durable stoneware, they are safe for the oven, microwave, freezer, and dishwasher. Pfaltzgraff offers a five-year warranty against defects and guarantees to supply basic dinnerware in registered patterns for five years after the pattern is retired. Pieces may be replaced individually. --Kara Karll What's in the Box 4 place settings. Each place setting consists of: 12-inch dinner plate; 9-inch salad plate; soup/cereal bowl; 16-ounce mug. 16 pieces total.

Nice design, but take care October 31, 2008 Doru (Toronto, Canada) I had to buy an extra set (three in all), because they can chip quite easily. Also I found that they don't work very well in microwave. But I liked the design and the size and it's worth taking a bit of extra care. Also I found that I can boil water and milk in a pot (!) and it's not very hard and probably healthier. The substantial size of the mug helps cool your beverage before you run out of patience :)
Oversize, Microwave Hot, Chips October 23, 2008 Ray E. Rice (Apex) Beautiful dinnerware, prone to chipping and the dinner plates are not conventional size. Do not microwave these unless you want your fingers to melt, you should know that by looking at the colors. I consider them disposable, buying a new set every couple of years at 100 bucks.
pretty, but disappointing October 17, 2008 Sheelagh M. Sacks (Buford, GA United States) I bought a full set of Sedona dinnerware, and, while I didn't have an issue with the plates fitting in my dishwasher, I had to modify a plate rack so that the plates could be set vertically front to back instead of sideways in my kitchen cabinet. The dinner plates are way too large anyway - we use the salad plates instead. These dishes are horrible in the microwave (the plates get hotter than the food), and you only have to tap two together very gently to end up with chipped dinnerware. I will never buy earthenware or Pfaltzgraff again.
Beautiful dish, poor quality!!! August 10, 2008 Pearloso (Alhambra, Ca) Beautiful dishes, but very disappointed with quality. Chiped easily with normal use within a week of purchased..I gave the set to my Sons to use in thier dorms....
Perfect for the price! April 27, 2008 K. Sanchez (California / South Carolina) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I cook and bake a lot. I wash dishes all of the time - by hand and with the dishwasher. I simply do not have any issues with chipping. I'm not sure what the other reviewers are doing with their dishes?? I bought a service for 8 people 2 years ago. Out of all of these dishes in 2 years, I have exactly 2 pieces that have chipped. I use a dishwasher and they fit fine. Yes, the pieces are large. But, if you do your homework and read the reviews, you will see as I did that the pieces are quite large. To me, that was a selling point. I didn't want what everybody else has. I don't exactly have a new home - it's 20 years old. The dishes fit fine in my cabinets. Bottom line is . . . if you want a visually appealing casual dining set, and you like the unique sizing of the dishes (these are pretty much the same size you see in everyday restaraunts), you aren't hard on your dishes and/or appliances, and you are on a budget, these will work pefectly for you. But, DO YOUR HOMEWORK people! You can't be upset for a bargain purchase when you don't. Love 'em!!!!
