| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The KitchenAid Professional Hand Mixer is built for the serious cook. With a total of 9 digitally-controlled speeds ranging from extra slow to extra fast, this lightweight mixer also has a "Slow Start" feature that eliminates splatter. The Pro Whisk attachment is for delicate egg whites and creams, and the professional TurboBeaters are for extra mixing power. Covered control panel makes clean up easy -- no buttons to wipe around or for food to get caught between. It's power at your fingertips.
Amazon.com Review Professional chefs have long sung the praises of the KitchenAid stand mixer. Now, KitchenAid has designed a product specifically for the home baker with this nine-speed hand mixer. Its digital display shows the selected speed, providing precision control, while an electronic sensor works with the powerful yet lightweight motor to maintain that speed in any mixture, heavy to light. Designed with nonclogging air vents, the mixer is easy to clean because smooth, sleek surfaces have no seams or grooves that trap ingredients. The mixer comes with traditional beaters, a pro whisk attachment for fluffier mixes, and a one-year warranty. --Linda Dahlstrom

KitchenAid 9-speed hand mixer March 14, 2010 I. Carter (Jasper, GA) Great product. Lots of power, easy to use, quick cleanup. Would definitely buy again.
Crapolla!!! March 13, 2010 Philip Jeffcott (Layton, UT USA) So I bought this mixer for my wife after our wedding gift mixer bit the dust. I always do my research because I hate buying crap. Well, I did my research and found this mixer to have some good reviews and only a few poor reviews. This was a year and a half ago. The piece of junk just completely died about a week ago and when I got on Amazon to see if anyone else was having this problem, much to my dismay, a whole bunch of people are reporting the same problem. In fact, it's all over the internet now! We, along with many others on here, loved this mixer when it worked. My mother in-law always commented on how quiet it was and how many speeds it had. It made making mashed potatoes (a personal favorite of mine) a breeze to make. My wife really didn't want a standing mixer because it takes up so much counter top space. However, it is hard to argue with the years of reliability that both of our Moms have gotten out of theirs. Well, long story short, don't buy this piece crap. As, well marketed and good looking as it may be. I wish I had something else to recommend but at this point I've got nothing.
Hand Mixer Disappointment! March 12, 2010 Clean Freak (Wilton, CA) Before purchasing this product I read the reviews, unfortunately, I was somewhat disappointed. The mixer needs 9 speeds because the first four are extremely slow!
Also, dislodging the beaters is very difficult. They do not release easily.
Power March 5, 2010 W. Merritt (upstate NY) Great for low speed mixing. No splattering. But for higher speeds it needs a bit more power.
I recommend a kitchen aid handheld mixer to anyone February 19, 2010 David B. Nichol I won't name the mixer I had before I got this one, but I was extremely unhappy with it. I couldn't even whip potatoes with it.
I've found the Kitchen Aid mixer can mix anything I need it to, including stuff so thick I never would have tried it with my old mixer. I also like the speeds
