Just grasp the handle, pull the trigger, draw the knife in a straight line, and let the two serrated blades, which saw back and forth at high speed, do the work. It's effortless and safe. The knife comes with a two-pronged fork in a compact (15 by 5 by 2-7/8 inches) storage case made of flexible plastic, with a foam insert molded to hold the set. This electric knife works so poorly I cannot believe that it is being sold. Anyone who gives it a good rating must not know how an electric knife works or, I got a defective one.
It was an EFFORT to slice through a turkey breast. I finally got out a regular carving knife. This electric knife is a piece of junk.
I bought this to replace an old, cheap proctor-silex one I had purchased at Kmart 15 years ago (worked great until the thing that holds the blades together broke off).
Thought this one would be an "upgrade." Was I ever WRONG. I am so angry that I did not save the packaging, receipt so I could return it. I am going to write to the company and ask them why they sell such trash.
GO BUY A CHEAP, PROCTOR-SILEX.

I used this last night for the first time for carving my T-giving turkey. It STINKS. The handle, when slick with grease from the turkey, is nearly impossible to hold. Your hand slips forward and it is nearly impossible to push the button. I had to use two hands to hold it, which is less than desirable. Plus, it barely had enough power to cut through some real small ligaments. Overall, not worth your time. Why they make it with a slippery plastic with nothing to provide a sure non-slip gripping surface is beyond me.

After 2 years with this product, it has been a miracle! The wife even quit locking herself in the bathroom during Turkey Carving time now every time we use it. Just a wonderful. easy to use & clean product. When something works, it just works!. This is one of those things.

I purchased this knife to replace an old one that had worn out. This knife is VERY hard to hold while activating the blades. I am not a wimp but this is difficult and tires the hand. Also, the blades do not cut nearly as well as my old set did. As soon as I can, I am buying a different electric knife and throw this away. It's JUNK!
