A smart innovation from Furi, the TechEdge professional knife sharpening system is a high-speed, manual way to restore keen edges to straight-blade kitchen knives. Intended for the busy chef or serious home cook, the system takes knives through three stages--reshaping, coarse honing, and fine honing--in a series of simple steps. The Edge Restorer works first, using two tungsten carbide cutters to restore new angles to a rounded edge. The cutters adjust easily for different cutting edge angles and are much faster and more accurate than a stone. The second phase uses the Diamond Fingers Sharpener, a set of six stainless-steel spring fingers that are bonded with 450-grit crushed industrial diamonds. More exact and consistent than a steel, the fingers automatically set correct cutting angles and create a fine micro-serration that is perfect for most kitchen knives. Extra-fine cutting knives, like those used for filleting and boning, get a final honing from the Tech Hone Fingers, a device similar to the Diamond Fingers but with a coarse striated surface that creates a fine finish. All three sharpening pieces fit snugly into the Tech Edge base, which has a long handle and a wire safety guard to protect fingers and hands. The base folds flat to fit into the included snap-shut carrying along with all the other parts of the system for tidy transport. Furi also includes a generous 25-year warranty. --Emily Bedard

The F??ri Rachael Ray TECH EDGE Pro Knife Sharpening System (handle with black guard and 3 sharpener components) combines three stages of professional knife sharpening into one simple and compact unit. Each sharpening component is easily mounted in a common slot in the 'Easy Store' handle, to allow quick changes between the sharpening stages. TECH EDGE works on most regular non-serrated brand of knife, and most days only the final fine honing stage is required to maintain perfectly sharp professional edges.

I received this Sharpener after seeing the video demonstration that was included with my Furi knives. I pulled out my dullest knife and it sharpened it just like new in a matter of minutes. I was able to sharpen my entire block in no time.
It is set up where you get the correct angle to sharpen your knife and you do not have to try to work with a stone for hours. You get your moneys worth the 1st day when all your knives just like brand new.

This is one of those products that works as advertised... the other night, I sharpened a dozen of my kitchen knives in 35 minutes while watching a movie. Every one, from the smallest paring knife to the largest chef's knife will shave hair (dry). Incredible... and using the knives is just like it was when they were brand new. And the design is so simple. Never really did keep an edge like this with a steel or a ceramic whet.
only thing is now I have to warn people that all the knives are __sharp__.
I am recommending this system to everybody I talk to.

The Rachael Ray Tech Edge Pro Knife Sharpeneing System is the best available, and it is simple and efficient. Results are fast and professional. I don't use any other sharpener now. There is no need to do so. I almost didn't order the system because it is pricey, but it is worth it in retrospect because of its speed and consistent professional results. Life's too short to use dull knives or spend a lot of time getting them sharp.
