I've been looking for a sturdy pair of poultry shears as all the ones with plastic handles I seem to break within a month or two. I liked the look of these with the solid metal handles and thought that I'd finally found a pair of shears worthy of my abuse...well, I only (tried to) use them once! They are very unwieldy and the spring mechanism is so stiff that I had to pry them open every time I sqeezed them shut. After about the 1st 4 or 5 cuts my hand hurt so bad that I threw them into the sink desperately looking for the old ones I'd thrown aside. Beware - don't judge a book by its cover!
