I too purchased this because of Alton Brown's show on The Food Network. I have found it to be a solid product (unlike most items these days). It is sharp and the stainless steel blades make it a snap to keep clean. If you, like myself, love to cook, then buy this product, it is the best meat tenderizer you will find, bar none.

The feel of this product is really solid. Might have trouble cleaning it because the blade is not removable like the more expensive models.

This meat tenderizer is surprisingly sturdy it has a spring action and cuts through meat easily. I was impressed with the product for the money. It is easy to wash and the cover makes it dust free. I use it frequently and am very happy with it. If you don't have a cutting board like I didn't it is best to use one with this tool.
