Quickly reduce a cooked chicken or duck to bite-size pieces with this instrument. Or use it to butcher any kind of meat or poultry. This is a lightweight version of a butcher's traditional implement and thus easier for the untrained to use precisely. The handle is not as deeply rounded as some manufacturers' and consequently lighter. This cleaver is also available with a hardwood handle. --Fred Brack

 Good cleaver but wrong picture??? August 25, 2008

Cleaver is good, sharp, balanced and blade handle is going all the way towards the end so i am not afraid of breaking it later on.
Here is my issue: the cleaver i recieved does not have a hole at the top, so i cannot hang it. The picture shows a hole. If the hole is important to you(as it is important to me), i recomend that you double check prior to ordering this.
