Silicon spatulas are great December 27, 2008 Martha (Texas) My husband and I use these silicon spatulas all the time, and really like them. This one has a somewhat shallow spoon bowl, and is ok. I kinda like the flat ones a little better.
heavy and for lefties... November 19, 2008 FM ...........found this to be somewhat heavy for a spatula. The spoon end is pretty shallow, and also angled backwards for a right handed person. It's also not very tapered on the other end..somewhat bulky and clumsy. Not worth the money.
Darn near perfect October 22, 2008 Kalo Alexandra (Sacramento, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm a fan of silicone utensils in general and Switchit stuff in particular. For tools needing to be cleaned often and used in a variety of applications/temperatures, you just can't (yet) beat good single piece silicone utensils. And Switchit not only gets this, they take it a step or two further, creating and marketing the attractive, useful tools I reach for first. With that said, this tool feels like it's made for a lefty. Maybe this is just my backward cooking skill set talking: maybe real right-handed chefs hold the spoon in the left hand and the bowl in the right. Maybe. But I hold my tools in my right hand. And that makes this tool just a bit awkward, as the slant at the spoon end sloped in precisely the wrong direction to complement a bowl's bottom. This is a minor nit, though... and it didn't lose this otherwise fine tool any stars.
Kitchen Gadget Must-Have May 26, 2008 Caseybean (Tucson, AZ USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I own one of these spoons/spatulas in the color "cherry" and I love it. It feels great in your hand, is very sturdy, washes easily, and is perfect for all cookware including Le Creuset because it doesn't scratch surfaces. This utensil is perfect for stirring anything, making all types of eggs, sauteing vegetables, scraping a bowl with etc...Really there's not much it can't do in the kitchen. Any cook would appreciate this versitile utensil. It's a ctually a very cool looking utensil. The picture here doesn't do it justice. I'm ordering another one in the lime-green color I like it so much and would definitely give this as a gift to someone who enjoys cooking. Amazon's price is great because I paid about $5.00 more at my local Table Talk.
Chef'n Switchit Spoon/Spatula December 29, 2007 Gracie Lou (Sun Prairie, WI) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I knew I like this spatula the first time I used it. It fit right into a tomato paste can and I was impressed. No nooks and crannies for food to hide so it's sanitary. Cleans up beautifully either by hand or in the dishwasher. This is a winner!
