I use this to crack walnuts. It works pretty well although a few times I shot the shell halfway across the room...but that seems to happen with a lot of the nut crackers. I have not yet tried it on crab claws. It works well with nuts though.

This product works great, although I don't think I've used a crab cracker that didn't. The traditional OXO grips are a nice addition.

I don't use it so often, but at least it doesn't take up much space while it's hanging out in the drawer.

I bought this mainly for cracking the Ginkgo nuts that falling off from the trees in my neighborhood. The nuts are ranging from small to large size, and the cracker does a good job cracking the nuts without damaging the inside.
