Amazon.com Review
Clamp this pasta machine to your counter or table edge, choose a setting, and you're ready to turn out fresh homemade pasta, literally. This is a pasta maker you crank by hand as you feed in your dough. Made of gleaming stainless steel, the machine's adjustable rollers press your dough into long, four-inch wide sheets in a choice of seven thicknesses. You can then cut the sheets into squares for making ravioli, or longer sections for lasagna. By sliding on the stainless-steel cutting attachment, you can extrude thin spaghetti or medium-width fettuccine noodles. And, for artists, the pasta machine works well as an extruder for polymer clay. After use, wipe the machine clean or run a damp paper towel or piece of felt through it. Remove the handle and clamp for compact storage. You'll never want to resort to buying dried, store-bought pasta again. A recipe booklet is included to get you started. --Ann Bieri

4 out of 5 stars Not bad at all   January 7, 2009
Clayton Johnson (Dexter, MI)
This is of course, not, built like a fine Swiss watch; However, it does work as represented, and made a nice batch of pasta. For the price it certainly does the job and does it well. Making pasta requires more work than most people believe it will take, and it's never like watching Mario on TV who makes it look effortless. You have to run the dough through the rollers several times, folding it into thirds and advancing to thinner settings one click at a time. Don't forget to make and throw away your first batch as this ships with a protective coating of machine oil on the parts, and I wouldn't recommend eating Chinese machine oil in any diet. Then remember that you NEVER wash this machine unless you like rust.

So if you're wondering if this is too cheap to be true, the answer is no, it's fine and will work. OTOH If you expect to pay $10 for a $250 pasta making machine you will probably be disappointed.

Ragged box, two pieces of parts dropped which took me 1 hour to fix, and this 'new' item also have some dry flour in gear!

4 out of 5 stars Works as what it said   August 5, 2008

This product is good. It works as what it said. I use it to make Chinese dumping. It's very convenience. I don't buy dumplings from market anymore. However, it takes some practices to get the full benefit it provides. I suggest everyone to read and follow the instruction prior to your first use.
