Best thing I've bought all year! October 13, 2008 Stephanie Michelle (Los Angeles,CA) This product is easy to use and works great. Popsicles were easy to remove from mold after running a little water over the mold. I'll be looking foward to making popsicles all year long!
Great Product September 27, 2007 Valerie Smith (Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I highly recommend this product. It is easy to use. The popsickles come out easily after briefly running them under luke warm water. The design to catch the drips will benefit older children, but for young toddlers, of course they are going to turn the things upside down and get themselves sticky - - - - but what else do you expect from toddlers. They don't mind being sticky.
Poor design June 14, 2007 Dressmaker (Silicon Valley) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
These are a nice shape and size, and the handles catch drips. But they have a major design flaw--the part of the stick that is frozen into the pop is too small, narrow, and smooth, so when you try to pull your pops out, the handle comes out and the pop stays in. I had to semi-melt the pops under hot water and use a flat spatula to pry the pops out of the base. Not recommended.
Easy to make your own healthy popsicles! June 10, 2007 P. Gould (Colorado) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I make a lot of popsicles for my kids and their friends every summer. They are very easy to make and can be super healthy, depending on how you make them. To make popsicles, you must carefully pour 100% fruit juice into the mold and then freeze it. My kids like OJ or pineapple juice best. (Look for juice with pulp because it freezes into pops that are easier to bite into.) You can add slices of banana, chunks of pineapple, rasberries, or other small bits of fruit, too. Or, make a smoothie and freeze that. (I've got a kid-approved recipe in my book, Feeding the Kids: The Flexible, No-Battles, Healthy Eating System for the Whole Family.) These particular molds are great because they catch (most) drips and have a nice shape. These molds can be washed in the dishwasher on the top rack. But be sure the sticks don't fall into the garbage disposal if your kids drop their sticks in the sink after eating their pop...that destroys them rather quickly! I do have a set of the ultra cheap molds from the grocery store. They work just as well as these--but they came coated in a strange oil and needed to be washed in very hot water and the dishwasher before I was willing to use them! I do not like the rounded popsicle molds because the flat shape of these makes them easier to bite into. In short, these particular molds are my favorites.
