Waste containers or trashcans with lids in the market place today have to be opened by hand touch or by foot step-on. UZO1 Touchless Trashcan comes with automatic opening lid designed to function requiring no physical contact either by hand or by foot. This new hand and or foot free lidded trashcan automatically opens its lid when your hand or body approaches the infrared sensor 6 inches away, and closes automatically in 3 seconds when your hand or body is away from the sensor. This touchless Trashcan operates on an invisible harmless infrared technology. The built-in Artificial Intelligent (AI) Smart-Chip senses when you need the lid to open and to close, without requiring you to touch or step-on the trashcan. This touchless device creates a hygienic sanitary condition that helps to prevent contamination and spread of germs that results from hand or foot touch. Our trashcan does not require special garbage bags as it uses a regular standard garbage bags. It is designed with a fix ring that holds the edges of the garbage bag tightly to prevent it from falling inward. It is designed with a two compartments that allows for separation of disposable items, two removable heavy duty inner plastic bucket to protect against spilage, and base wheel for ease transport. Further, the sensor operates on a 4-D batteries (included) which can last between six months to one year depending on the frequency of use and has an optional AC Adapter plug at additional cost. This product can used anywhere trashcans are used, places such as hospitals, healthcare facilities, laboratories, offices, commercial kitchens, schools, child care centers, elder home facilities, handicap facilities, public spaces and homes.

I purchased one less than a year ago and the plastic by the hinge cracked within a year! Since you can't fix plasic, the trash can is now trash!!
