Re: one star. My sentiments exactly but then the woman who wants this for Christmas is a merchant's dream. What ever they put out, she buys.

2 out of 5 stars Ugly & Cheap   October 17, 2008

I bought the RR "granite" style bowl to use for carrying food scraps out to our compost, thinking it would look nice enough to leave out on the counter. When it arrived I was disappointed by how incredibly ugly it was. I'm giving it two stars because it was a decent size and worked fine for it's purpose -- for about two weeks. Then it cracked all the way down one side. Turns out my garbage bowl was garbage. Go to the dollar store and buy a big plastic bowl there; it'll probably last longer, look better, and save you lots of money!

1 out of 5 stars An idiotic waste of money and an insult to your intellegence   July 4, 2008

If you've bought this item your an idiot, you can go to any dollar store and buy a plastic bowl if you think it contains some sort of magic or will make your cooking easier you need help.
While I think cleaning up as you go along cooking is a great Idea I have to say you can do it on the cheap remember that dollar store well they sell plastic bowls and alot more and guess what you don't have to pay shipping if you just want to waste money or throw it away you have too much, send it to me or donate it to your local food bank or a local charity.
This is just a waste of money and a blatant name branding scheme anyone dumb enough to spend money on this shouldn't be allowed near sharp knives.

1 out of 5 stars Not a sturdy product, not worth the price.   May 5, 2008

The item is made with very thin plastic. The bowl didn't ship well. I received the item damaged. Would not recomend. I ended up going on eBay and buying an antique Texas Ware bowl.

I was so glad that I purchased the quartz color bowl. It is so easy to peel fruits and vegetables over the bowl. At the end of the day we take out everything and put it on the compost pile. I debated about paying that much just for a garbage bowl but I do not regret it because it makes it so convenient to recycle.
