| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description In fewer than five years, Rachael Ray has radically changed the way America cooks dinner. Her perky-girl-next-door swagger, her catchphrases for techniques, and her dinner ideology of simpler, less expensive and just in time have sold billions of books and placed her at the top of the talent heap of food television personalities. The unique oval shape of this Pasta, Etc. Pot means no more breaking long pastas and the convienent pour spout makes draining liquids from the pot easy. Nonstick Interior allows food to slide off and fat-free cooking. Grippy Silicone Handles are comfortable to grip and oven safe to 400??F. Glass Lids allow you to monitor foods without removing the lid.
Amazon.com Review A creation of television celeb chef Rachael Ray, this oval pasta pot takes a new approach to shaping that feels long overdue. Sized to hold 8 quarts, the deep oval pot is space-efficient on the stovetop, while letting you cook spaghetti or linguine without breaking the noodles. Hard-anodized aluminum for durability, the pan heats evenly and quickly, which is great for boiling a big quantity of water. A glass lid contains heat and steam while allowing visibility, and a nonstick interior makes food release and low-fat cooking easier. Surprisingly comfortable to handle, the pot features fun orange handles with silicone coating for heat resistance and a secure grip. Ideal for pasta, the pot is also great for soups and corn on the cob. It is safe in the oven to 400 degrees F, cleans up easily by hand, and comes with a limited lifetime warranty. --Emily Bedard

Best gift for my mother in law who cooks better than many chefs September 5, 2008 Don't Get Married (USA) Best birthday gift for the woman in your life, who can cook. Price here is lower than stores. I should get one myself
Pasta Pot September 3, 2008 Megs0013 (Illinois, USA) This pot looks good and I love the fact that I don't have to break up my pasta to make it fit. I have had no problems with it and I enjoy using it.
GREAT PAN!!! August 10, 2008 J. Jimenez (El Paso, TX) I loved it!!! It's great for when you are cooking for a big family. It cleans good and it's great for pasta.
Wonderful Wonder Pot July 14, 2008 Celestine (Michigan, USA) I absolutely love this pot. I think the oval shape is so brilliant and I can think of so many other dishes I can make rather than just boiling pasta alone. The stews, chicken noodle soup etc come out so beautifully and I used this to substitute for a dutch oven to cook beef stew and it came out so perfect. It is so roomy as well and I can actually throw much more veggies in there to any type of dish than I normally would. I am by all means not a chef but this pot is only the beginning of many many more wonderful dishes to come. I highly recommend this great pot. :-)
Excellent pot has many uses July 3, 2008 BL (Medford, OR USA) I bought this pot after checking it out at a local department store to see if I liked the finish, weight, etc. I've had it for several weeks now and have used it to cook pasta, a large pot of soup, chili, etc. It heats evenly and cleans up quickly. In short, I love it. I especially like the fact that I can cook long pasta without having to break it or wait around for it to soften and be completely submerged. I have a standard electric stove and I find that if sauteeing meat or vegetables for soup I need to move the food around from the sides to the middle of the pan for even cooking/browning, but that's simple enough and no trouble. I noticed that one person noted that the pan was "stinky" when she used it. The first time I ran water in it to wash before using, it smelled funny, but after washing there has been no odor at all. This pan is also perfectly balanced for pouring and is heavy enough to heat evenly without being too heavy for my hands and wrists, which have weakened from years of typing and beginning arthritis. And I love the silicone handles. All in all, I'm very pleased with this pan. Amazon had the best price (got it on sale for $59.99) and shipping was fast.
