It is not an exaggeration to call this pan revolutionary. Like all springform pans, its sides are separate from the bottom and spring free automatically when the clamp is released. These sides, however, have a nonstick coating, so there is no need to run a knife between the pan and the cake???say good-bye to ragged edges. The base is heat-proof glass, which won't be marred by a knife when the cake is sliced and makes a nice serving plate. Finally, the pan has two large handles, a benefit when the filled pan needs to go from counter to oven.

This is the best springform pan! I have made 3 cheesecakes so far without any issues. The thing I love most about the pan is that the glass bottom does not have a lip so when you cut the cake for serving the cake comes out clean. The glass bottom also makes it easy to judge browning of the crust. The handles are great too; it makes it easy to grab using pot holders.

I admit that I don't really have much experience with a springform that is why I am not giving it a 5, but I remember my mom's old ones from when I was younger. They were all warped and rusted. This pan has been great. I got it after the recommendation from Cook's and I have no regrets so far. I have only made cheesecake in it, but I can't wait to make something new. I love the glass bottom, that is what makes all the difference. Oh, and the handles are genius. Would highly recommend this pan.

I really like this pan. The seal is secure (no leaking). With the handles, it's easy to manage, even for someone with arthritis (like me). It's also very nice to have a glass botton showing through on a serving plate instead of a metal one. This is definitely a winner.

indeed, there is a glass bottom, the walls are nonstick, there are even two nice handles. The seal between the actual pan and the glass bottom leaks something terrible if you use it in a bain marie. apart from that though, it's fine.
