Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
This large nonstick cookie sheet by Pyrex is ideal for making cookies or dinner rolls. The dark, nonstick surface helps brown your cookies evenly so there are no overly-browned spots. And for the baker who sometimes miscalculates just how many cookies will fit on a sheet and how big the cookies should be, this pan has "targets" on the bottom of the cookie sheet - just place balls of dough into the centers of the targets; as your cookies bake, the dough will spread to fill the spaces with no cookies overlapping. An ingenious idea from Pyrex, makers of this nonstick cookie sheet. Pyrex Professional bakeware offers something very unique in the world of bakeware: "targets" for making perfectly round cookies - no more tiny ones or gigantic ones that spread all over the pan. The cookie sheet is made of commercial-weight steel, is safe for metal utensils and is dishwasher-safe.

2 out of 5 stars Just So-So   December 26, 2007

I didn't want to run all over town to buy 3 new large cookies sheets...needed them for holiday baking and was tired of my old warped ones. These are very heavy. The cookie targets are just plain dumb. I have made thousands of cookies in my day and the performance is just so-so. They seemed to brown the cookies to much, so I had to adjust the baking time on all the recipes I used. If you buy them, make sure they will fit in your oven...they fit in mine but since I was less than thrilled with them, I tried to give one to my sister...but didn't fit in her oven. I wish I had just gone shopping and taken a good look at what was available instead of ordering based on reviews and the Pyrex name. The good news is that Amazon sent the order right away and the order came just as expected.

5 out of 5 stars Nice Heavy Cookie Sheet - Awesome Value!   December 24, 2007
Lisa Brightly ("It's a Great Little Town" Gallatin, NY USA)
Great cookie sheet... disregard the review by "J. Claydon, dj masturbeat"... I think maybe he/she just needs a Oven Thermometer or Timer! I have made a few dozen batches of different cookies in the last few weeks and this cookie sheet is great - cookies came out perfect! I love cookies (and cookie dough) so I have tried about 20 different cookie sheets over the past 10 years and the only one that I like better (so far) is my Doughmakers.

2 out of 5 stars BURNT COOKIES   December 14, 2007

if you read these other reviews, notice that it seems they made rave reviews before using them. the pan is heavy duty, great. it's non-stick woopty-dooh (most cookies are non-stick because of high fat anyhow, and besides, that's what parchment or silpat are for). They have a keen diagram for cookie targetting. These things saved it from a one- (or the impossible no-)star review.
what i can't figure out is that this pan has burned every batch of cookies on the bottoms, or close to it. the "close to it" ones were raw and nasty in the middle.
I've tried different recipes, employing different techniques (balls, cut slices, smashed flat, broken in half and melded with the jagged edges up), different rack levels in the oven, different temps...
they all get burned on the bottom. even crazier is they aren't nicely crispy, or chewy or whatever the recipe is trying to go for.
i never had problems burning the bottoms of cookies before, in cookie pans, or even sheet pans with lips all the way around (which would make more sense). WTF?
i mean, cookies are the one thing i've baked since i was a kid. i don't ever remember terrible results, unless...hell, i'd have to make something up.
i hate this pan. so many cookies that could have been soooo good on some old beat up pan warped in 50 directions, i insisted on torturing and destroying and burning just to prove a point.....

this is the second pyrex product i've reviewed and been unhappy with. (the other a glass measuring cup with a ruberized lid that doesn't fit on properly when taken straight outta the shipping box -- any guesses what a dishwasher will do?) their name is tarnishing for me...

5 out of 5 stars Good cookie sheets, but look out for the super glue!   December 8, 2007

These are swell cookie sheets, but the paperwork was attached to every sheet (I bought three) by something like super glue! Why? I first soaked them in hot water, then scraped with soap and a firm spatula. It was a 30 minute process start to finish.

This product performed the way I expected. The only disappointment was seening a huge scratch in the surface after removing it from the shipping box.
