Product Description One-hand dispensing - no carafe, no pouring, no spills. Coffee stays fresh longer. Enclosed brewing system. Double-wall thermal insulation. Gentle warming heater. No hot plate to scorch coffee flavor. Clock/timer with 2-hour auto shutoff. Make coffee the way you always have by adding water, a standard filter and coffee. Never break another glass carafe. Includes water filter.
Amazon.com Review Called the BrewStation because there is no "pot" involved, this 12-cup countertop unit from Hamilton Beach keeps coffee hot and fresh until you're ready for a cup. The enclosed brewing system only dispenses coffee when you depress the trigger with your mug--otherwise, the coffee stays inside, where it's kept hot and flavorful. Mid-brew dispensing makes the appliance handy for anybody in a hurry, and a translucent indicator shows you the liquid level at a glance. An internal warming heater and double-wall thermal insulation maintain brew temperature and freshness, so there's no hot plate to scorch coffee or make it bitter. Operation is similar to other electric makers, and the entire brew tank removes for easy cleaning. A clock and timer let you set the coffeemaker in advance, and an automatic safety mechanism cuts power after two hours. Other helpful details include a power indicator light, a drip tray, and a water filter. The station measures 10 by 10-1/2 and needs 14 inches of under-the-cupboard clearance. --Emily Bedard

Durable, long-lasting, and makes good coffee. November 19, 2008 momwith2kids I've had this coffee maker for 2 years and have used it almost every day in those two years. It still works as well today as it did when I first got it. The only thing I don't like about this coffee pot is that when you pour the water into the reservoir there is no measurement to tell you how much water you poured. (you measure the water in the bucket that will eventually hold the brewed coffee - this is the only place there is a measurement). This isn't that big of a deal unless you spill some as you pour it or don't remember how much water you poured in, but it's the only negative thing I could think of to say about it.
Great Value September 1, 2008 Lawrence R. Hathaway (Grand Prairie, TX) I picked this up at a discount store for $20 as a back up to my Quisanart of the same design. I could not tell any difference at all between this and the more expensive model. As well, I did not taste a difference in the coffee as a couple have mentioned. I drink coffee every day, and usually have at least 5 cups per day. I have used Capresso a couple other high end machines, but at the end of the day, if your using good, fresh coffee beans, and drinking fresh coffee, I can't justify the difference in price.
Great idea but needs a little tweaking April 12, 2008 K. Poole (Indiana) This is our second one of these as we really like it. However, the lid does not close as tightly as we would like. I would also like a detachable cord for easier cleaning of the entire unit.
no more mess March 5, 2008 Kimberly M. Smith-walker (Enumclaw, Wa. USA) Hamilton Beach 47665 BrewStation Plus 12-Cup Automatic Drip Coffeemakerafter my 3rd Mr. Coffee died I was shopping for a coffee maker that wouldn't overflow or have the glass break on me. I saw the Hamilton Brewstation and thought this is the answer to my prayers. I have had it now for over 2 years and am totally satified with it. The only draw back is keeping the coffee stains inside the despencer clean, but it is a small price to pay for great coffee and no mess.
Coffee tastes like plastic. February 17, 2008 M. Lesko (Queens, New York United States) I received this coffee maker as a gift. I really like the automatic shutoff and in general being that it was a gift I cant complain too much but if I paid for it I would be upset. Why? 1) The light that blinks red when you turn it on and off is to dim to see in sunlight so if you have a bright kitchen good luck trying to figure out if your coffee maker is on or off. 2) The aluminum filter that is supposed to last forever makes the coffee taste like metal so I switched to paper filters. 3) The water filters are quite expensive and unfortunatly, needed for this machine. 4) The machine is too tall to fit in a kitchen cabinet for storage. 5) The inside of the plastic brewer is easily stained by the coffee and no amount of scrubbing will take the stain out. 6) Worst of all the coffee tastes like plastic. I buy very expensive gourmet coffee that I enjoy very much but unfortunaly no matter how well I clean the machine, no matter how new my filter is, my coffee always has a taste of a hint of plastic from this machine.
