The ReServe Wine Preservation system is fantastic. We drink a variety of reds (Spanish and Italian mostly) and whites (mostly French but some Spanish and Italian). We've been using VacuVin for many years and that's fine for a couple/few days with the whites and sometimes a day or two or three with some reds. But, the Vacuvin just didn't work for very long and not even for one day for some wines (like a Spanish Granache). I got tired of throwing away decent red wines if we couldn't drink them fast enough so I saw this product (and the earlier very favorable review) and tried it.
Well, I just used the ReServe on a Spanish Rioja that was half full and 6 days later it tastes as fresh as the moment I opened it! It has worked equally well on an Italian Chianti and S American Malbec - just fantastic.
The stopper and argon filler mechanism is fairly clever but I did have a question that was promptly answered by their email support. You see, the instructions say connect it, turn the knob, and disconnect. And, while true, it doesn't say you have to quickly disconnect otherwise the gas can dissipate. Once you know that it's really very easy to use.
Another little "gotcha" is there are two sizes of bottle adapters. The regular (sold here) and the narrow (sold elsewhere - see manufacturer). The narrow is needed for some Italian, S. American, and S. African wines (and a couple others). The kits include the standard size but if you drink these kinds of wines that adapter is too thick to fit inside the bottle stem. I talked with the company as their web site and their other partner web sites don't explain this well. Not only did they send me a complimentary narrow adapter but they promised to improve their web site - which they've already done!

ReServe is easy to use, easy to clean and best of all, it keeps my wines tasting perfect for up to 2 weeks (I finish my bottles within 2 weeks; it can probably protect a bottle for longer than 2 weeks). I drink mostly CA cabs and pinots. And I have 3 adaptors so that I can have up to 3 wines open at any one time and simply enjoy whichever wine I want a glass at a time.
The wines maintain their fruit and complexity and remain tannic. Even the last glass needs to breathe for a few minutes before the fruit present themselves!
