Great mixer! July 1, 2010
I bought this mixer to replace my previous one (which I had for 18 years!) I love it! It goes through chocolate chip cookie dough without problems. It can start off slowly which I really like. It is comfortable to use. I bought black because it was the cheapest color. This is the only mixer you will ever need.

Great mixer, I bought this cuz I had gone through 2 mixers in the last year and thought I would spend more than the $20, that I usually spend. So far it is great and the slow starts are wonderfull. Helps with the splattering mess.

I thought my old hand mixer, which I received as a wedding gift in 1974, was fine. Hey, it lasted longer than my marriage did! Unfortunately, I broke it while making sticky icing for my sister's birthday cake. My new kitchenAid 7-speed mixer is so much more powerful, not to mention quieter. I can still hear the T.V. while I'm mixing up a cake. It is great for cookies too. Due to the design of the beaters, the batter doesn't get stuck in them like it did on my old mixer. I am very happy with my new mixer, and I would definitely purchase another one if it holds up half as long as my old one did.
