Slim kitchen scale gets the job done March 14, 2010 Midwest iPodder I was looking for a simple kitchen scale with a small form factor as a gift, and this one fits the bill exactly. The price is great, and it has enough features to make it useful for quite a bit. I haven't had any troubles with the auto-off but make sure you have all your ingredients set out before measuring.

Super Fast and Accurate!!! February 1, 2010 Hip Kat (Boulder, CO) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I read all the reviews for a kitchen scale before giving up and buying this one for the size. It matched my kitchen and fit next to the fridge, you know? It's awesome! I love how fast the weight is displayed. Two things this one does that I don't think other scales do. I can put the plate on the scale before turning it on and it automatically tares (zeros out) so I save a step. It quickly switches measurements from fluid oz or grams to ounces or whatever. It doesn't turn off too quickly. I have time to get out the flour and scoop before the information is lost. My advice, figure out where you'll use it. You have to be able to look down at the display. If I put a big plate on it, then I have to make sure the display is visible. Even big stuff balances. It's stainless, so it's bacteria-proof. I put raw chicken on it and then wipe with bleach. It was cheaper than the more colorful one I liked, but I'm really happy with this purchase.
Not so accurate January 6, 2010 R. Sakamaki (Honolulu, HI) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I tested this scale with some taring weights and it weighed out correctly. However, sometimes when I am weighing something, the weight that the scale displays starts to slide down little by little. I have to re-tare the scale and weigh again. Aside from that, it's slim, which I like, and has several different weight settings: grams, pounds and ounces, mL's and fl. oz. I only needed the grams and ounces, but it's nice to know I can measure mL's if i need to.
Zero stars if I could... December 23, 2009 Jennifer 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this scale for use in my kitchen. When I first received it, it worked for about two days then displayed an error message, then a low battery message. I changed the batteries and the scale worked again -- until four days later when the batteries died again. I was careful with the scale, ensuring that it was turned off after each use and did not use the scale more than what would be considered "normal" use. Three battery changes have not solved this issue so I am returning the scale.
One issue I had with the scale (when it was working) was that it took too long to register the weight that was on it. The delay was frustrating, though not as much as the constantly dying batteries. The scale is also made from a very low quality plastic material. You get what you pay for, I guess. I would absolutely not recommend this scale.
