quit working March 6, 2010 S. Gilbert Bought this scale about a year ago and it just quit working. I replaced the batteries, but the display is now so faint it cannot be read. I only used it maybe 20 times.
The manufacture placed information tags - not removable - on the bottom so if the scale is hung up, instead of a nice, modern silver-finish, you see the tags and it is not attractive.
The scale shuts off very quickly, so when you are packing and weighing multiple items, the scale has to be turned on every time - and it takes a few seconds to warm up.
The material is light weight plastic. Would not recommend this scale.

Missed the Mark September 2, 2009 Karen Spraker (LANCASTER, VA USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this scale in April and found it a bit hard to read and set up but figured once it was in use it would be ok. Today I tried to use it and found that it had lost its mind. It would show 0 when nothing was on it and as soon as I added the smallest weight it registered 13.7oz Tried resetting it by removing the batteries and that didn't help. It is much too late to return it but be warned that it is a very poor value.
Attractive scale, great for kitchens without enough counterspace. June 27, 2009 R. Brewer (Arkansas, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The scale met my expectations, although I have yet to wall mount it the hardware it comes with seems sturdy. It's an attractive scale and folds up when not in use. The clock and thermometer give the scale a little usefulness beyond weighing portions. I considered going five stars, but I find it difficult to rate anything that highly unless I've owned it more than a few weeks.
Needs work! June 17, 2009 L. Christianson (MN) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have had this for a little over 6 mo's. waiting to write a review as I wanted to see how it worked.
Pro's:
Great on the gram weighing, right down to one vs. five as most do. Also, very compact and folds up nicely, huge plus for those of us with small kitchens.
Con's
The thing does not stay on! It's really a PIA when your measuring something and turn to grab more product and it shuts off, your measurements are gone.
Cant get the clock or timer to work at all (someone else mentioned this as well). It's not a big deal, but if it's there shouldnt it work?
The thing is clumsy, you have to measure everything towards the back of the bowl and then it tips over if it's to much stuff. I also think it is not giving accurate measurements because of this.
I really wanted this so I could measure things in my large KA bowl without covering up the numbers, but I think I'll have to breakdown and buy a different one, it just doesnt work right.
Might be a good fit for someone using it for simple food measuring, but if your a baker, I'd find a different product. I know I'll be out looking for one!
