Braun's Multiquick Professional improves on an appliance that's already highly convenient. With a 400-watt motor, this updated hand blender has increased power for faster and better results. A dial on the top of the handle allows you to select from five different blending speeds, giving you more control over the consistency of your purées. A turbo button on the front of the handle lets you immediately switch up to the highest blending speed. The hand-blender attachment has a unique blade that offers smoother and more even blending, making it ideal for puréeing fruit shakes, soups, or homemade baby food. In addition, the hand-blender shaft has an innovative antisplashing design that prevents food from splattering on your kitchen walls during blending. I've had this product for a month now and have used it 15 times. It is great for making pureed soups like butternut squash, mashed potatoes, Whipping eggs whites, etc. Clean up is a breeze with the removable attachments.

Two years ago I bought the Braun Multiquick Professional MR 5550 M BC, which appears to be nearly the same as this newer version.
It has been a dream to use. Easy and fast and quiet. Doesn't make a mess, or splatter. I like to cook a pot of split pea soup and then blend it down to just the right consistency--right in the soup pot!
All, but the motor section, just pops in the dishwasher so clean-up couldn't be easier. It came with the wire whisk and I do find myself using that attachment also. I love this product and highly recommend it.

Works extremely well, loved it. Used to make pumpkin soup, mashed poatoes- both sweet and regular, and butternut squash soup- worked great.

I had an older version of this blender a few years ago which never let me down but which I left in the UK when I moved. Since then I have been using a different (unknown to me) brand which recently cracked and was unusable. Now that I have my new Braun I am so happy with it. The variable speed works well and the turbo setting is useful to crank up the power instantly if needed. There seems to be much less splashing than with my previous Braun, I think due to the new design at the "business end". This new design also makes it WAY easier to clean because there is no longer an inaccessible cavity around the drive shaft to gradually get more and more icky. I also just used the chopping attachment very successfully on some cranberries and pine nuts. All in all a very effective and sturdy machine. You won't regret choosing it :)

product arrived on the last day it was said so late for the birthday. The blender was given and my friend said it was good and practical.
